CRT WA Collaborative Cancer Grant Presentation

On 3rd July 2017, the Cancer Research Trust announced funding of up to $13.5m plus an additional 30% matched funding for up to nine years for two world class collaborative cancer research programs based in WA. This competitive grant process attracted a field of exceptionally strong applications and the equal first winners were:

  • Professor Alistair Forrest’s (Harry Perkins Institute for Medical Research) application “Enabling Advance Single Cell Cancer Genomics in WA”
  • Professor Christobel Saunders’ (UWA) application “Patients First: the Continuous Improvement in Care-Cancer (The CIC-Cancer Project)”

The CRT Board invited the WA Deputy Premier; Minister for Health; Mental Health, The Hon Roger Cook, MLA to present the CRT Grant to the joint winners at the UWA Club in Crawley in the presence of leaders and cancer researchers from all WA universities and cancer research institutions.
