On 1 July 2019, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF) and the Cancer Research Trust (CRT) was signed, setting forth the terms and understanding to further enhance cancer research capacity in Western Australia and increase the coordination by cancer research funders. This cooperation is in the form of the CRT providing limited grant support of up to $100,000 pa for personnel to operate equipment provided to a cancer research organisation by ACRF as part of the ACRF Annual and Major Grant rounds for the years 2019 – 2021. This MOU was renewed in March 2022 for another three years, 2022 – 2024.
